Ranch Tours

We do not provide formal tours, however, visitors are welcome to walk around the ranch and see our  buildings for themselves. Almost all the buildings that the ranch now occupies date from between 1876 and 1913, when the town of Nicola was the most important settlement in the area. The heritage buildings, artifacts and other historic exhibits are an additional feature of the Nicola experience.

Historic Buildings
Nicola Ranch has renovated the heritage buildings that were once part of the Town of Nicola, such as the office shown here, and they remain in daily use. The oldest of the town's structures, the Murray Church, built in 1876, the Blacksmith's Shop, the harness shed and the Red Barn still survive.

Murray Church
Perhaps the most photographed of British Columbia's historic churches, this was originally the Presbyterian church, completed in 1876. It is now under the joint care of the United Church, and Nicola Ranch.

Blacksmith's Shop
Built about 1890, the walls bear countless brands that were made and used in the Nicola Valley. The ranch's collection of antique tools, farm equipment and other fascinating artifacts of agricultural interest can be seen here.

Red Barn
Five teams of draught horses called the Red Barn home back in 1904 and is a classic example of a ranch barn.
